Anna and Will

Last but certainly not least…this was my last wedding of 2015. Anna and Will tied the knot at North Blendon Church in Hudsonville. I met Anna through her dad. Her dad and I have been on some of the same group bike rides, but had never formally met. He asked some of his riding friends for recommendations on a photographer for his daughter's special day and they referred me! It was such a pleasure meeting both families. Anna and Will were so easy to work with and so calm. I don't think I've ever seen a couple so relaxed on their wedding day.
It was a little dreary in the morning but, about an hour before the ceremony…the sun came out and it turned into a beautiful day!
I asked what made them want to be married in December and Anna told me she knew the church would be decorated for Christmas which takes the guesswork out of decorating. How brilliant!

Here's a few shots from this weekend

Jacobs wedding

This time, I traveled south to Plainwell,  to photograph the wedding of a couple I barely know and had only met once prior to the big day. I always say, it's good luck when it rains on your wedding day and as with the last wedding I shot, yes it rained, in fact we had wind and thunderstorms, but luckily not until after the ceremony and all of the formal photos!! Every time I travel to shoot a wedding, it's an experience; whether it's 40 miles or 400...it doesn't matter, every trip imprints images into my brain. These are the images that I try to include in my blogs; it could be 2 images, it could be 6. Even though this blog shows only a few, the few that I have chosen are the ones I feel represent the day. I hope you enjoy my blog and if you do, please tell your friends :)

Berry wedding

My first wedding of the season was a blast! I had the pleasure of working with Jason from Absolute Photography of Holland; we went to the beach and it was so cold and windy but the they were tough and endured the elements for the sake of the coffee table proofbook.
