New England

My friend Jessica and I recently set out for the east coast last week in my Blazer. Our destination...uncertain. We just knew that we wanted to go to New England and see the colors and the coast. As soon as we got out of New York, I was in love. The houses, the mountains, the farms were all so picturesque. We had a flat tire in New York, which was an experience (my first flat tire) but luckily I had a full size spare!! We stayed a night in Reading, MA a pretty little town with perfect sidewalks and not a rundown house in sight. It was almost creepy how perfect it looked. The next day we took the train into Boston, which was fun.

My favorite parts of the trip were camping at the state park on the ocean, though it was a cold, cold night and The House of Seven Gables in Salem. The House of Seven Gables was built in 1668 and Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote a book about it. Now that I've been through the house, I am reading the book.

Here's some snapshots from the trip.
